Scout assisted Vanguard in the creation of a new organizational structure for the site, and created a new visual design to fulfill the site's new design goals. The site was produced using Microsoft FrontPage to allow easy maintenance. |
A two-step publishing environment was created to allow online preview of site changes before they become visible on the Web site, and Active Server Pages scripting was used to create a centralized framework for the site, allowing many changes to the site's navigation, structure, and appearance to be made without the need for modifications to multiple pages. |
ASP was also used to implement several new site features, including a search feature based on Microsoft's Index Server and a searchable, multi-view document library for the articles that Vanguard's consultants regularly contribute to trade publications. Scout also assisted in the configuration of Vanguard's existing Web server to host the new site and to support its improved features. |
