	Vanguard selected Scout to redesign and rebuild the original Vanguard Web site. The new site would portray Vanguard's services and skills to current and potential clients, present information in a manner consistent with Vanguard's prestige, reflect the personable approach of Vanguard's consultants, and highlight the leadership role played by Vanguard in the customer contact industry. Scout assisted Vanguard in the creation of a new organizational structure for the site, and created a new visual design to fulfill the site's new design goals. The site was produced using Microsoft FrontPage to allow easy maintenance. A two-step publishing environment was created to allow online preview of site changes before they become visible on the Web site, and Active Server Pages scripting was used to create a centralized framework for the site, allowing many changes to the site's navigation, structure, and appearance to be made without the need for modifications to multiple pages. ASP was also used to implement several new site features, including a search feature based on Microsoft's Index Server and a searchable, multi-view document library for the articles that Vanguard's consultants regularly contribute to trade publications. Scout also assisted in the configuration of Vanguard's existing Web server to host the new site and to support its improved features. The resulting site showcases Vanguard's industry-leading consulting services, their extensive experience in customer contact, and their active role in the advancement of their industry through speeches, seminars, and publications.
