Microsoft Corporation: Microsoft RAIS (Rapid Administration Integration Server)
	When Microsoft Consulting Services needed a user interface design for Microsoft RAIS (Rapid Administration Integration Server), they came to Scout for advice and assistance in the design process. Scout's role in the project quickly grew to include other aspects of the presentation layer, such as the creation of a Web-based Portal for the service. The RAIS Portal interacts extensively with the RAIS database using APIs developed by Microsoft. ASP (Active Server Pages) scripts are used in combination with XSL (eXtensible Stylesheet Language) to generate pages dynamically from XML data. Scout also devised the XML formats and XDR schemas used for data exchange between various RAIS subsystems, produced detailed documentation for the Portal, and designed program icons for RAIS components and artwork for the system's installation software.
