By creating a corporate Web site, Protech aimed not only to attract new clients, but also to simplify the distribution process for technical information on Protech products. The site allows clients to initiate orders online, and provides instant access to engineering data sheets and user manuals for Protech products. All documentation is provided in Adobe Acrobat PDF format, for offline viewing and printing. The site's foundation is built with Microsoft Active Server Pages, Microsoft FrontPage was used to create the actual pages. The result is a commerce-enabled site that can be maintained without a knowledge of HTML or ASP.
