Margaret Bourke-White Book Companion Site Visit this Web Site The Margaret Bourke-White Web site was created as a companion Web site to a published book.
	Two versions of this site were created: a narrowband site for dial-up users, and a broadband version with additional rich media assets not found in the book. The goal of the site was to promote the book but to also take advantage of what the medium could offer in technology. Margaret Bourke-White's work spanned several decades, and her collection of images hosts many significant moments in history. The Web site offers a collection of her work to the visitor, arranged by decade. The broadband version of the site was recreated for a high-speed Internet service. Video segments of Margaret Bourke-White telling the stories behind her images were added to the site. Many of these video segments offer her insights into history in the making. The broadband version also offers visitors larger pictures within the decade galleries and audio interviews.
