Lise Despres began her career in publishing as a Managing Editor at MecklerMedia. She moved into the growing industry of multimedia at the Center for Creative Imaging (CCI), formerly known as the Kodak Center, in Camden, Maine. At CCI, Lise was manager of the multimedia lab, where she assisted industry experts in teaching multimedia. After leaving CCI, Lise worked on several cd-rom projects for clients such as Microsoft, Simon & Schuster, and Grolier Interactive. She segued her CD-ROM career into Web development by designing broadband Web sites for the burgeoning cable modem industry for Time Warner. While designing in the metropolitan area she also taught multimedia at the college level in Connecticut. In 1997, she co-authored a book entitled DeBabelizer: The Authorized Edition for Hayden Books.
